If you get up very early, you can spare a full day for Rhodes, which has 25 sea miles distance to Orhaniye.

Rhodes that has a population of 120 thousand, 3500 of which is Turkish, receives 2 million tourists during the holiday season between April and November.

Rhodes town has 4 zones: the “Old Town” surrounded by walls, the modern “New Town”, “Acropolis” with the ruins of the ancient town, and the “Harbour” on the east of the New Town.

There are several shops to buy all kinds of souvenirs in Rhodes. There are many gardens, coffee shops and restaurants to rest all around. Cuisine of Rhodes is very similar to Turkish cuisine. Even the names of most dishes are the same, like ‘musakka’ (an aubergine and potato based local dish).
