Armutalan & The Story of Sarıana
Armutalan is situated approximately 26 km northeast of Orhaniye and with its population reaching 20,000; it is a developed tourist center neighboring Marmaris with many hotels, restaurants and entertainment sites.
It is generally told that the area is named “Armutalan” (land of pears) as a result of the presence of a lot of pear trees around, but the naming story is also and actually told as “the Story of Sarıana”.
