Değirmenbükü & Knidia Farm
Değirmenbükü is situated 90 km northwest of Orhaniye and very close to Knidos. The road to Değirmenbükü, however, is quite rough and off the beaten track. Knidia Farm, one of Turkey’s first ecological farms is located in a valley 700 m away from Değirmenbükü.
Since 2005, Knidia Farm is a part of the TATUTA (Eco-Agro Tourism and Voluntary Knowledge and Skills Exchange on Organic Farms) project organized by Buğday Association for Supporting Ecological Living.
The main objective of the TATUTA project is to encourage ecological farming and provide it with sustainability by supporting ecological farmer families with voluntary labor, knowledge and/or experience.
Even though the road is rough, we recommend visiting Knidia Farm and purchasing their olive oil, carob syrup, soaps, shelled Datça almonds and wine, all of which are their exclusive hand made products.
